1、 Characteristics of perforated corrugated packing

(2) The surface wetting rate of the filler is high, there is no channeling phenomenon, the mass transfer efficiency is high, and the liquid holding capacity is low. Gas and liquid phases continuously move in a Z-shaped motion in the packing, mix evenly, have sufficient gas-liquid contact, high efficiency, and strong anti pollution ability.
(3) In addition to being made of metal and plastic, perforated corrugated packing can also be made of ceramic to meet special requirements such as corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
2、 Classification of corrugated packing for orifice plates
1. Corrugated packing for metal orifice plates
Metal orifice plate corrugated packing is an important new type of universal regular packing developed by Swiss company Sulzer in the late 1970s, following the development of metal wire mesh corrugated packing. It is called Mellapak packing. The purpose of the development is to overcome the limitations of corrugated metal wire mesh fillers and further expand their applications in distillation, absorption, and other fields. The filler maintains the geometric structure characteristics of the corrugated metal wire mesh filler and is made of perforated plates with grooves on the surface. Its performance is between that of the corrugated metal wire mesh filler and the loose packing.
(1) The geometric structure and characteristics of the packing are similar to those of metal wire mesh corrugated packing. Each unit of it is a cylindrical body composed of corrugated packing sheets with oblique teeth, with small holes punched on the sheets to roughly distribute the liquid on the sheets and enhance lateral mixing. The addition of grooves on the sheets plays a role in subdividing the liquid, increasing the liquid distribution and wetting function of the packing, and improving mass transfer efficiency. Specially suitable for atmospheric pressure and moderate vacuum distillation of hazardous substances such as ethanol, ethylbenzene/styrene, fatty alcohols, ethylenediamine, cyclohexene/cyclohexanol, ethylene glycol, aniline, chlorotoluene (para/ortho), fatty acids, mixed xylene, epoxyethane, epoxypropane, and other hydrocarbons. And it is suitable for atmospheric pressure countercurrent absorption processes, such as absorbing CO2, HS, HCI, CIO2, C1, etc. In the design of new and renovated towers, it is used to replace bulk packing materials such as Bauer rings and certain plate towers. Especially in the renovation of large towers, it has significant economic effects on improving product output and quality, and reducing energy consumption.
